Status: Millrock has sold the project to Riverside Resources for Riverside shares and a 0.5% NSR royalty (news release)
The target at Violeta is an epithermal gold/silver deposit.
Location and Setting
The Violeta project is located in Northern Sonora, Mexico.
The property consists of a single fractional claim totaling 104 hectares. The claim is internal to Chesapeake Gold Corp.’s Cecilia property claim block.
Geology and Mineralization
At Violeta, Cretaceous volcano-sedimentary rocks are cut and overlain by a rhyolite dome complex. Oxidized rocks containing argillic or sericitic alteration are widespread and quartz veining, silicification and siliceous breccia fill are common.
Low sulfide epithermal quartz veining is the dominant style of mineralization. Sampling (63 rock samples) yield widespread low grades of gold to a maximum of 1.5 gpt Au. Flourite is locally present.
The Violeta project is a small claim and to date lacks strong Au grades although veining is widespread and auriferous.
Agreement and Terms
Millrock has sold the project to Riverside Resources for Riverside shares and a 0.5% NSR royalty.
